I make my living with my pickup. 10 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $150 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 • Towing and inspection: $10 • gearbox replacement (parts): $100 Thanks for reading all this.

Updates from Irfan

  1. We're at 128% thanks to 5 of you. the first invoice got paid this week. More news soon.

  2. Quick update: $88 raised so far (58%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($88 in total) I made the first payment toward towing and inspection. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Road tax and insurance renewal is $40 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
