Help Blessing through 12 rounds of treatment for kidney cancer
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Lagos Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Blessing was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July. The oncology team at the Lagos Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Blessing is 55, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lagos Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Scans and lab work: $130
• Transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Household costs while unable to work: $350

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($1,200) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
