Sukkur
Bilal was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at Sukkur Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Bilal is 51, worked as a farmer until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Sukkur Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $850 goes: • Scans and lab work: $80 • Transport to Sukkur Regional Medical Center: $50 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $620 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 Thank you for reading my story. - Tariq

  • Sending good thoughts, Tariq. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
