Help Artem pay for emergency hernia repair at Kharkiv University Hospital
Artem needs emergency hernia repair at Kharkiv University Hospital and the family is $1,750 short of the hospital's estimate.

Artem was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in May. The surgeon at Kharkiv University Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,900, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,750 short.
my father has been in and out of Kharkiv University Hospital since May. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Artem struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Artem won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $770
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $780
• Post-operative medication: $65
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $135
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Elena. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Take care.
Best of luck, Elena. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Kharkiv.
Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Madrid.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Rockford.
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Kharkiv.
