Antoine was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at Salé Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Antoine is 43, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Salé Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $760 • Scans and lab work: $175 • Transport to Salé Regional Medical Center: $110 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 • Household costs while unable to work: $355 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
