Aline was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Petrópolis Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Aline is 44, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Petrópolis Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Transport to Petrópolis Cancer Centre: $160
• Household costs while unable to work: $780
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,555
