Help Alice restart a neighborhood bakery in Oakland after the demolition of the market

Alice has run a neighborhood bakery for six years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $3,150 will put it back on its feet.

Oakland
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Oakland. In August, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $3,150 goes: โ€ข Replacing a commercial oven: $1,500 โ€ข Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $550 โ€ข Shop repairs and licensing: $400 โ€ข Working capital for the first month: $700 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Love from Jakarta

Good luck, Alice. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Seongnam so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Oakland.
