Doris is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Doris was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at the Fresno Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Doris is 34, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Fresno Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,800 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,900
• Scans and lab work: $1,150
• Transport to the Fresno Oncology Institute: $890
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $600
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,260

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Doris
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $4,900 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
