Aisha was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Ikeja Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Aisha is 50, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ikeja Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Household costs while unable to work: $250
• Transport to Ikeja Regional Medical Center: $155
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $930
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115
