A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Noida
Volunteers in Noida are raising $600 for a covered market stall space at Baobab Primary School.
🇮🇳 Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India1,351 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 403 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $460
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
