Hatem is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Charlotte University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,000.
The registrar has said Hatem can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hatem has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hatem would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Hatem isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Final term tuition: $1,950
• Exam and lab fees: $150
• Textbooks and materials: $150
