I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 10 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,000. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,000 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $530 • Labor charges: $150 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $170 • Towing and inspection: $150 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Updates from Harper

  1. 22% there. I made the first payment toward labor charges. Thank you.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($120). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for towing and inspection is now scheduled.

  • Hope the shop reopens soon. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.

    • Small businesses are the heart of Jacksonville. Hope you're open again soon. Love from Frankfurt

Wishing you peace. Small businesses are the heart of Jacksonville. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
