Get Uchenna back on the road: my food truck repair fund

Without my food truck Uchenna can't work; a $100 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 1 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $100 goes: • Towing and inspection: $25 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Labor charges: $50 Thanks for reading all this.

Updates from Uchenna

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($30 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. 20% there. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.

  • Hope it all works out. Hope the shop reopens soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
