Independence for Keiko: pair of hearing aids
Keiko needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $400.
🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan255 views
Keiko lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Tokyo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Keiko could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $400 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $115
• Delivery and set-up: $130
• Fitting and training sessions: $155
Thanks for reading all this.

Hope things get better soon, Hina. I hope things turn around soon.
So sorry you're going through this, Hina. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Kansas City so I could bring a meal.
How is Keiko doing now?
Keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Comilla.
Best of luck. Hope the doctors have good news. Sent it to 20 people at work
you're not alone, Hina. Shared this with my family. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Tokyo

Praying for you, Hina. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Los Angeles but we're thinking of you. Take care.
Rooting for you. Wishing Keiko a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I hope December is when things finally get easier. Love from Metz!
