Get Elena back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund
Elena drives for a living in Medellín, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 3 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $400 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $75
• Labor charges: $65
• suspension replacement (parts): $260
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Praying for you, Elena. Small businesses are the heart of Medellín. Hope you're open again soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best

Thinking of you and your family. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Praying for you, Elena. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
