Get Edgardo back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund
Edgardo drives for a living in Quezon City, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 6 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $100 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Labor charges: $15
Every share and every dollar helps.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Edgardo
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. towing and inspection is the biggest at $35. Fair thing to want to know.
Take care, Edgardo. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
hang in there, Edgardo. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Suwon.
You're not alone, Edgardo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 24 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
