A rainwater harvesting system for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in Dundee
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $3,200 for materials.
🇬🇧 Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom1,613 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,200.
It will serve about 263 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
• Materials: $2,650
• Permits and inspections: $190
I hope life is good to you.
