I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $1,600 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $980 • Labor charges: $280 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $180 • Towing and inspection: $160 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

It's all in the list in the story. fuel pump replacement (parts) is the big one at $980, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.

    • Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Arlington.
