Get Aisha back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Aisha drives for a living in Gulu, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 4 weeks.
🇺🇬 Gulu, Northern Region, Uganda80 views
I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $200 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $120
• Labor charges: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Gulu.
Good luck, Aisha. Shared this with my family. Don't give up. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted.
You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in El Paso this morning.
