We lost everything in the flood: help the Harbor neighborhood start over
Neighbors in the Harbor neighborhood are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the Harbor neighborhood on 20 March. My home was one of 62 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $810
• Food parcels for displaced families: $560
• Tools and labor for repairs: $580
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

you're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
You're not alone, Bogdan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of București.
You're not alone, Bogdan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Galway.
Sending strength, Bogdan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Nairobi so I could bring a meal. All the best.
