Ssebuliba was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in June. The surgeon at Dar es Salaam University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $800, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $600 short. my son has been in and out of Dar es Salaam University Hospital since June. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $800 is more than we can find. While we wait, Ssebuliba struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Ssebuliba won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $600 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $370 • Physiotherapy sessions: $115 • Travel and lodging for the family: $50 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65 Thank you so much.
