Emergency vet bill for Max in Medellín
Please help Álvaro pay for Max's emergency treatment at Medellín Veterinary Centre.
🇨🇴 Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia1,099 views
Max is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 15 September we rushed to Medellín Veterinary Centre with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $550.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Max is more than a pet - Max is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $70 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Medellín Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $340
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $85
• Medication and follow-up visits: $85
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $40
Thank you for reading my story.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Álvaro.
Sure. The biggest one is emergency surgery, $340. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
Best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.

Hope things get better soon, Álvaro. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
