Upendo's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a benign brain tumor, Upendo was cleared for hip replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Upendo was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in November. The surgeon at Mwanza Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,800, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $900 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Mwanza Regional Medical Center since November. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Upendo struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Upendo won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
