My younger sister, Yun-seo, is 14 and in the final year of school. Yun-seo loves school but biology has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The school-leaving exam is in March. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Daegu or online, for about sixteen weeks. Yun-seo is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in biology, you could change the course of Yun-seo's year. Glad we found this place.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Do-hyun. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.

    • Take care, Do-hyun. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings

      • as a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
