Keep a roof over Ezra's head in St. Petersburg

After a sudden layoff at the textile factory, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,550. My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, we must leave. I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else. I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here. Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent. Where the $4,550 goes: • Rent arrears (3 months): $3,100 • Late fees and court costs: $300 • Utilities in arrears: $150 • First month of rent as a buffer: $1,000 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Ezra

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Bhopal.
