Flood in Taguig: help the Lakeview neighborhood rebuild
Neighbors in the Lakeview neighborhood are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines116 views
The flood hit the Lakeview neighborhood on 12 December. My home was one of 23 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $580
• Clean water and purification supplies: $145
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $195
• Food parcels for displaced families: $290
• Tools and labor for repairs: $90
I hope life is good to you.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dennis!
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. roofing sheets and timber comes first ($580) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
Wishing you the best, Dennis. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Gulu so I could bring a meal.
