Help Koji pay for valve repair surgery at Sapporo General Hospital
A scheduled valve repair surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $1,750 of the cost.

Koji was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Sapporo General Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,900, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,750 short.
my brother has been in and out of Sapporo General Hospital since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Koji struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Koji won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Koji
Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $1,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
