Flash flood in St. Louis: help the families of Harbor Lane rebuild
The flash flood damaged 49 homes in the families of Harbor Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flash flood hit the families of Harbor Lane on 1 February. My home was one of 49 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,500
• Clean water and purification supplies: $1,100
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,450
Thank you for reading my story.

take care. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Mendoza!
This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Pune.
Thinking of you, Neha. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
