Fighting stomach cancer: help Mugisha afford treatment in Kampala

Mugisha was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Kampala Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Mugisha is 56, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kampala Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
