Fighting stomach cancer: help Joyce afford treatment in Toronto
Joyce is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Joyce was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Toronto Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Joyce is 33, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Toronto Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,950 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,100
• Transport to Toronto Regional Medical Center: $430
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,770
