Yard rescue for Udari, 91: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Garden rescue day in Dehiwala: bring gloves and a rake.
🇱🇰 Dehiwala, Western, Sri Lanka356 views
I'm 91 and I have lived in this house in Dehiwala for 35 years. After the storm in April, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.

Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 28 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Thủ Đức.
