Kamau was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at the Zanzibar City Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Kamau is 30, worked as a bank teller until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Zanzibar City Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
