Githinji was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in May. The oncology team at Eldoret University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Githinji is 37, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Eldoret University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $500 goes: • Scans and lab work: $250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 • Household costs while unable to work: $185 Glad we found this place. - Nabirye
