A sensory garden for children with autism for Union Park: help our neighbors in Granada
Volunteers in Granada are raising $1,700 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Union Park.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,700.
It will serve about 422 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Materials: $1,370

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Julieta.
Sure. The biggest one is permits and inspections, $90. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
