Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Georgiana afford treatment in Iași
Georgiana is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world325 views
Georgiana was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in March. The oncology team at Iași Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Georgiana is 43, worked as a nurse until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Iași Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $4,600 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $690
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290
• Scans and lab work: $370
Thank you for reading my story.

how is Georgiana doing now?
hope it all works out, Tudor. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
best of luck, Tudor. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
