Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Gayan afford treatment in Negombo
Gayan is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Gayan was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in September. The oncology team at Negombo Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Gayan is 55, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Negombo Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Transport to Negombo Regional Medical Center: $135
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Household costs while unable to work: $320
• Scans and lab work: $310

Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($104). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team.
