Could you drive Rahma to the Alexandria Dialysis Unit on Friday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Rahma has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Alexandria Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Rahma can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 15 km each way. Rahma is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

    • Good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.

      • Keep going, Osama. Wishing Rahma a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Wish I lived closer to Kanpur so I could bring a meal

        • Good luck, Osama. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My neighbor in Istanbul donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
