Mackenzie was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at the Jacksonville Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Mackenzie is 53, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Jacksonville Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
