Gangnam
In August I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. My oncology team at Gangnam Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 31, I worked as a farmer until August, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Gangnam Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,700 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,800 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $530 • Transport to Gangnam Cancer Centre: $370 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Yoon-ah
