Fighting multiple myeloma: help Meseret afford treatment in Addis Ababa
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Addis Ababa University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Meseret was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Addis Ababa University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Meseret is 54, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Addis Ababa University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $670
• Transport to Addis Ababa University Hospital: $150
• Scans and lab work: $180
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
