Fighting kidney cancer: help Madhavi afford treatment in Colombo

Madhavi was diagnosed with kidney cancer in October. The oncology team at the Colombo Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Madhavi is 53, worked as a farmer until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Colombo Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
