The Liberty health centre yard needs a free library and reading room - Raquel's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $600 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 472 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
