Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help Igor afford treatment in Wrocław
Igor is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇵🇱 Wrocław, Lower Silesia, Poland717 views
Igor was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at Wrocław University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Igor is 36, worked as a taxi driver until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Wrocław University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,050
• Scans and lab work: $210
• Transport to Wrocław University Hospital: $210
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135
• Household costs while unable to work: $345
I hope life is good to you.
