Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Sosina afford treatment in Bahir Dar
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Bahir Dar Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In June I was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer. My oncology team at Bahir Dar Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 7 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 31, I worked as a bus conductor until June, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Bahir Dar Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $500
• Scans and lab work: $125
• Transport to Bahir Dar Regional Medical Center: $105
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

it takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope September is when things finally get easier.
Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Magelang this morning
Best of luck. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours. Take care
