Fighting colon cancer: help Mahesh afford treatment in Mumbai
Mahesh is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Mahesh was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at the Mumbai Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Mahesh is 33, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mumbai Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
