Feed 82 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in León
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in León is running low just as demand rises; $850 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 82 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the León market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $230
• Baby formula and diapers: $150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Kikuyu but we're thinking of you.
Wishing you peace, Aarón. More neighborhoods should do this. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care
Thinking of you, Aarón. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of León!
