Hands-on laborHousing & rent
Two weekends of roof repair for Eman, a night-shift nurse in Rawalpindi
The roof at Eman's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Rawalpindi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $550, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

So sorry you're going through this, Eman. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
Sending love, Eman. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My neighbor in Nîmes donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Keep going, Eman. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.

Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Akron this morning
Thinking of you. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from El Paso.

Hope it all works out, Eman. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
