Feed 70 families each week at Community Pantry in Düsseldorf
Leni runs a volunteer pantry feeding 70 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 70 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Düsseldorf market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $760
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $680
• Baby formula and diapers: $410
• Refrigeration and electricity: $200
