I coordinate donations at the Cedar Primary School in Miami. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Miami, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Cedar Primary School on Friday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Cedar Primary School clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • so sorry you're going through this. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings

    • Hope things get better soon, Alejandra. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Miami.

      • Best of luck. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Entebbe donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Entebbe.

        • Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care!

          • stay strong. Your post was clear and honest. Don't give up. All the best.
