The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Manchester is running low just as demand rises; $1,100 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 386 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Manchester market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.

Thinking of you and your family, Sophie. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
